BIB 101 - Old Testament Introductory Survey

This course enables the student to demonstrate through guided activities both a comprehension and a relevant application of these 3 topic areas: (1) a historical chronology of the Old Testament; (2) an introduction into literary issues including authorship, themes, and dating of Old Testament books along with a basic introduction into literary styles and structures employed by the Old Testament writers and; (3) formation, adoption, and reliability of the Old Testament Canon. This course will follow the same content-emphasis as BIB 101.

BIB 110 - The Greatest Life Ever Lived
(3)
This course begins with an overview of the 400+ year period between the Old and New Testaments
to set the contextual stage for the religious/philosophical, social, and political climate into which
Jesus was born. The balance of the course will focus on the life and ministry of Jesus in a
chronological manner, integrating all four gospel accounts (leaving out nothing from any of the
gospels) into one single narrative.

BIB 123 - Bible Interpretation & Study

This course will enable the participant to understand and put into practice: (1) basic principles of
Bible interpretation; (2) two simple Bible study approaches that can be easily taught to others; and
(3) how to effectively do an inductive Bible study using the book of Philemon as the final project.

CG 105 - Introduction to Spiritual Formation

An introduction to the disciplines and practices of spiritual growth including a survey of biblical and
historical traditions of Christian spirituality and intimacy with God. Included is a personal
evaluation of one’s direction to walk and grow in the Christian life.

CG 108 - Spiritual Disciplines Practicum

Providing the student with guided opportunities to a variety of personal growth practices which can
contribute to one’s ongoing spiritual development.

CS 110 - Serving by Design

An examination of God’s “call” on all Christians to service with a personal investigation into those
capabilities divinely given to all Christians for service. Students will be introduced to a variety of
personal assessment tools which enable one to determine one’s spiritual gifts, motivations, and
personality type. The final project will be the development of a “Personal Profile” which integrates

CSE 120 - Evangelism: Local & Global

Understand Jesus’ mandate to be his witness whether locally or worldwide. Students will be provided with practical tools for personal evangelism including an understanding of one’s cultural
context as a basis for sharing Jesus’ love in a compassionate yet non-coercive manner. Students
will also be introduced to world missions and how to effectively reach out in a cross-cultural manner.

bring hope and healing for those suffering
from physical or emotional distress - or those
wanting to help others who are suffering.
Based on her recent book “The Sampler: 10
Life Enhancing Concepts At Your Fingertips”,
Shelley Maurice-Maier PA-C and Barbara
Houston Psy.D. will share biblical insights into
life, love and freedom to help make healthy
choices emotionally, physically and spiritually.
These 10 concepts will help transform old,
self focused "victim behaviors" into new God
focused "victor behaviors".

A course that investigates 3 essential categories of Christian theology: (1) the existence, nature, and
functions of the persons of the triune Godhead, (2) how God reveals Himself with particular
emphasis on the written revelation, the Bible; and (3) the nature of mankind, the problem of sin,

An introductory overview of 3 areas dominating world thinking: (1) major world religions, (2) cults,
